The grain-free Mexican food products that are available make life 1000x easier for a family with grain allergies and sensitivities! To have the option to eat a grain-free tortilla with a taco, taquito, or quesadilla just makes you feel so much happier than with a (sometimes) sad piece of lettuce. Don't get me wrong, I crave a lettuce wrapped burger at least once a week, but sometimes you just want bits of your old life back! Siete Foods has made this possible for my family. Even for my children, who have no known allergies to grain or gluten, love Siete tortillas and chips. I prefer to give them Siete tortillas, chips, and spices because of the superior and nutrient-dense ingredients! I would much rather my kids eat a cassava tortilla chip over the sometimes inflammatory corn and flour products. Also, with the almond flour tortillas you are even getting in more protein and nutrition, which aids in better balanced meals.
If you've been around here a while, and follow me on instagram, you will know I use Siete products quite often! If you don't live in a big city, it might be hard to access their line of products. How I buy them is typically from my local Whole Foods grocery store, Target stores have started carrying some of their products, Kroger/King Soopers has some of their tortillas, or Sprouts grocery stores. For online options within the USA, you can order from Thrive Market (annual membership fee) or direct from Siete's website. If you're in Canada, Natura Market online has a wonderful selection of these harder-to-find ingredients.
Anyway, no one asked me to post this information and this is certainly NOT an ad (however, if the Siete gods are reading this I'm 100% available!) I wanted you all to have a resource of where to purchase these spices and tortillas because I know I use them a lot. In fact, I use both the Chorizo Spice Blend AND the Almond Flour Tortillas in this Paleo Chorizo Taquito Recipe!
You guys, these are so easy I almost feel bad about calling it a recipe. The most simple breakfasts can be the most delicious, and this recipe is no egg-ception! I hope you can make these soon. Let me know if you try freezing them, I suspect they will freeze well but I have never tried because we eat them too fast! They definitely last in the fridge about 3 days, if they last that long!
