ABOUT THE BLOG
After receiving news that I had signs of a type of glandular cervical cancer at age twenty one, I was told to prepare for an eventual hysterectomy and complete my family as soon as possible. I wanted to keep my body as healthy as possible in order to give myself as much time as I needed before the final surgery. That is when I started exploring the world of food as medicine, and challenging everything I thought I knew about food. Ever since, I've been passionate about utilizing whole ingredients, a wide variation of quality protein, ample quality fats, and unprocessed carbohydrates.

Since those dark days, my husband and I have added two beautiful children to our family and my passions have expanded from cooking alone, to cooking with my children, and childhood development.

My hope is to create a space for other women like me-- those who enjoy cooking, those who might also have kids and want ideas of how to cook and teach those bright young minds.
