WHOA BABY. This recipe is SO DELICIOUS.

I haven't had much luck with grain-free drop dumplings. I have tried other blogger's recipes and they all were so fragile, they would fall apart if your soup was boiling too aggressively but then a gentle simmer wasn't enough to cook them well.

But today... today I give you grain-free, gluten-free, dairy-free CHICKEN AND DROP DUMPLINGS... that actually taste like perfection.

I utilized my prepped shredded chicken, and bone broth that I had on hand from prepping that chicken. SUPER EASY if you've done that prep, if you're starting from scratch it's fine too. There is a work around, however I highly recommend using true bone broth for maximum nutrition and healing powers!

I created them using my grain-free baking powder, almond flour, cassava flour, and arrow root starch as the base. If you are still experimenting with grain-free flours, cassava flour works really well as a 3/4 cup Cassave to 1 cup All-Purpose wheat flour swap. It is higher in carbs so it doesn't work for frequent use if you are following any type of keto lifestyle. We love using Otto's brand cassava flour to recreate our favorite foods that usually contain grains. Ever since Brant realized his grain allergy, we like to challenge ourselves with our recipes. Cassava flour usually helps us achieve the same texture. However, sometimes a blend of a few grain-free flours work even more perfectly. Such was the case here! The almond flour provides some fat, protein, and nutrition to balance out the carbs in the cassava and arrowroot. The best part is, these taste authentic. Like, grandma's stew dumplings authentic. Oooooooo I've gotta drop these babies into a beef stew, STAT.

Enough of my chatting, HERE SHE IS FOLKS.

I love using Otto's Naturals Cassava Flour in my kitchen! It is the best quality and consistency available on the market. When you're trying to make your favorite recipes grain-free, that matters!
